Our Philosophy
Digital & medium format, not 35mm, are still the irreplaceable formats for top quality wedding photography, and in the hands of professional Nancy Kerr, owner of "Heartland Images", the camera is a storytelling tool. She aims for a realized quality that will transcend time. Dressed in her suit, Kerr is everywhere working her two cameras, whether in the balcony or standing invisibly at the back of the church.
"Weddings are my forte," she confesses, "I love weddings -- it's so awesome to be able to make a permanent memory for generations to come." Kerr, acutely aware that it is a wedding and not a senior photo, patiently awaits the kiss, the smiles, the little looks. "My main objective is to capture memories as they happen." One change she has noticed in her 20 plus years of photographing weddings is that brides are older. They are career women in their late 20's and 30's, and they want more than the bouquet and garter toss photos.
The setting is also important. "No matter the season, Powell Gardens is fabulous. While looking at my photos, take note of the different seasons. Each one - spring's new growth, summer's full bloom, autumn's incredible foliage, winter's beautiful poinsettias - is beautiful in their own unique way."

Many couples wish to personalize their albums with specially requested photographs. "We love to accommodate your creativity, and always take requests. We cater to the working bride and groom by offering flexible appointment times, from early morning to late evening. We are dedicated to our clients and will only schedule one wedding per day to avoid any conflict should additional coverage time be requested. We use only the finest equipment available. All images are produced on professional format film, (medium format). We use only the latest films and papers to produce the finest, possible images. We offer a variety of packages that start as low as $900 for photography, and as low as $200 for video. We can also build a custom package suitable to your needs."
